Super Sunday

Just to add to the super Saturday at Haughley winning both the Junior and Senior Cup. The Area B's Marie Denny team saw a miracle turn around to edge out Area C in the final of this years Marie Denny.

The game was played in lovely weather at Thurlton and it was Area C that came out of the blocks early. With over half the game played they looked in steady control with a 40 shot lead.

But a game of two half's it was as Area B rallied and with some excellent game management it was area B who came through to win the game 117-116.

The Area B highest winning rink on the day was Brian Guard (BOE), Jack Carter (WALD) & Barry Middleton (K&F) winning by 19 shots.

Super Saturday for Area B

On Saturday it was all Yellow as Area B won both the Suffolk County Senior and Junior Cups.

Salter Cup - Laxfield Triumph

The Salter Cup Final, played on Friday night at Otley.

Laxfield took an early lead, with Melton fighting back to gain a 2 shot advantage by the 17th end. However, Laxfield replied with 4 strong ends to take the win by 19 shots.

The trophy was presented to Laxfield by WDBL President, David Pollock
